A rest day after two days at the gym so first thing in the morning I am off to the spa at Yverdon-Les-Bain for a swim and a sun bathe. After lunch in this quaint medieval town I drive up to the mountains to dull Sainte-Croix. Following the briefest of stops I drive to a great little town across the boarder in France - Pontarlier. I have coffee in the sunshine - buy a slab of delicious Comte cheese and have home baked almond biscuits. I return home via Romainmotier (Swiss) where I have a beer sitting in the bright sunshine in this delightful hamlet. What a brilliant day.   more »

After some messing, we all finally get to the Preston Guild Hall (yes, where they hold the snooker championships), collect the gown, pay for the photos and take seats to watch the graduation ceremony. The whole thing takes two hours, is infinitely repetitive but the highlight is clearly Jack striding across the stage to receive his degree – BA with honours reading Sports Management – Hooray!!!   more »
